Spottitt’s Past and Present
Spottitt is a UK headquartered, award-winning company which provides remote monitoring as a service to asset owners.
The company was established in 2017 as a spin-out from European Space Agency grant funding.
Initially focused on the renewable energy sector, we aimed to democratize access to satellite data, making it available for O&M and investment decision-making process for large-scale projects.
Since then, we have broadened the application use cases to also address asset inspection and management challenges in energy, utility, transport, construction and other industries.
Spottitt’s Technology
The Spottitt Platform collects and processes a variety of remotely sensed data with AI, providing comprehensive and actionable analytics to support the entire lifecycle of asset and land management.
Our machine learning algorithms automatically analyse different risks and terrain conditions, such as vegetation, land and asset movement, third-party encroachments, climate and weather impacts, biodiversity etc – all in a 100% digital and remote manner. Spottitt clients appreciate advanced customization and flexibility of reporting options, which come in a decision-maker and GIS-ready format.
By making it simpler to access and analyse remotely sensed data, Spottitt platform empowers infrastructure and land managers to enhance safety, resiliency, and sustainability of natural and infrastructure assets.
Membership and Awards
Today, Spottitt is a member of the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC), the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Harwell Space Cluster.
Lucy Kennedy, Spottitt’s Co-founder and CEO, is the FIRE EO Evangelist for Infrastructure and Co-Chair of the Methane Monitoring Working Group at EARSC.
Spottitt has received recognition through industry awards, including being named among the Global Top 100 Geospatial Companies in 2023 and acknowledged as one of the TOP 100 Energy Start-ups in the World.
