Spottitt MF Monthly Update: New Features & Enhancements

At Spottitt, we’re constantly working to enhance your experience with our remote asset analytics platform, by making data visualization and reporting more intuitive, flexible, and insightful. This month, we’re introducing several updates which give you even more control and customization.

🌍 Your Free Climate Data Now Displayed as a Gradient Layer in a Map Format

Just like our other data layers, your free climate data can now be viewed on the map in a compact gradient color format. While generating a report on how each climate parameter impacts your assets is the best way to match this data to your assets and can be nice to view these data layers – helping you assess environmental exposure at a glance.

🎨 Choose your Favorite Colors for Each Data Layer in Event Mode

Creating reports in event mode just got more personalized! Users can now select custom colors for each family of classes (e.g green for vegetation, red for wildfire risk or other colors of your choice), giving you greater flexibility in how your reports are visualized.

📊 More Detailed Climate Data Filters

When requesting new climate data, you now have expanded filtering options. You can specify:

✅ A custom date range for your data request.

✅ The count of hours/days/months/years when a climate parameter meets a specific measurement threshold for a defined period of time.

✅ The count of individual events when a climate parameter meets a specific measurement threshold for a defined period of time.

✅ The count of days/months/quarters/years when the sum/mean/median/mode/max/min of a climate parameter meets a specific measurement threshold for a defined period of time.

This means you get exactly the data you need – nothing more, nothing less.

📑 Improved Column Order in Comparative Reports

We’ve adjusted the default order of columns when generating comparative reports. Previously, the set of metrics for the first pass was followed by the set metrics for the second pass. Now, the respective metrics for pass A and pass B appear in neighboring columns for easier comparison.

💡 Reminder: You can always re-shuffle column order after the report is created – click on the configure icon and drag & drop the columns per your order preference, or untick the box to hide a column that is not relevant.

✏️ Edit Report Names After Creation

Ever created a report and realized the name could be clearer? Now, you can edit report names even after they’ve been generated – making it easier to find the report you need.

💡 Tip: Translate Spottitt MF Interface in Your Browser
