Sneak Peak Into Platform Features

Asset Data

Your asset data, such as asset name and category, location and elevation, network length, start and end points, – all is at your fingertips for easy asset management.

Data Sources

Your collection of input data, may it be satellite imagery, climate data or other data sources, Unlock multiple use cases and insights from the same data.

Data Layers

The platform processes raw source data into valuable data layers, such as habitat classification, height estimation, vegetation health index (NDVI), and change detection. You choose and set up the metrics that are vital for you to monitor – whether it’s trees taller than 8 meters and closer than 1.5 meters to your network, unauthorized digging or construction activity within the safety corridor of your pipeline, or other risk events.

Dynamic Reports

Understand to which extent each asset is affected by a risk event, along with its exact location and detailed characteristics, or monitor changes that occur between monitoring passes. Track encroachment distance to the asset, canopy volume and area, asset length impacted in a total number and as a percentage of the total length, and other metrics.

Visualisation and Integration

Output analytics are available in table and heatmap formats. They can be easily exported in GIS- and spreadsheet compatible formats and integrated with other data sources and asset management systems.

FAQ

We remotely monitor any location in the world, regardless of its geographical coordinates or landscape peculiarities. Mountains, marine areas, urban locations, hard-to-access rural regions—we cover it all.

Absolutely not. While we monitor assets starting from 200 km of network, monitoring at scale—such as a few hundred or thousand kilometers—is where our technology brings the most value.

In the majority of cases, satellite-based inspection provides a quick, comprehensive, and accurate picture of risks. It can also be complemented with other monitoring data, such as LIDAR and/or on-site inspections, for an even more nuanced view. Satellite data helps you understand which parts of the network are most affected, to what extent, and the characteristics of the risks, allowing you to set the right priorities, inform your mitigation strategy, and deploy teams to the right place at the right time.

Satellite imagery resolution needed varies depending on the specific use case, while client budget limitations can also be taken into account—we always strive to find the right balance. Usually, it starts from 30 cm to a few meters in resolution, with 50 cm being the sweet spot.

It depends on specific monitoring requirements. For instance, vegetation monitoring usually requires two passes, at the beginning and end of the growing season, while for change detection and third-party encroachments, it may require monthly passes. For selecting the optimal network route or solar panel identification, it can be a one-off project.

The price consists of two elements and scales based on monitoring needs: the cost of raw input data, which depends on the use case, and a subscription to the Spottitt analytics platform, where the output metrics and analysis can be accessed after the source data has been processed. POCs usually start as low as €7,000.

The only effort required from your side is sending us your network location and we’ll take it from there. No extra hassle.
